Pug Soft Toy - Anima Dog Plush

The pug soft toy by Anima gazes up with large dark eyes and a flat muzzle, looking every bit as devoted as the real breed. The fawn fur with its black face mask and the compact, stocky body shape are carefully reproduced. Anima, the French plush manufacturer since 1946, has emphasised the pug's distinctive facial wrinkles and small floppy ears that give this breed its unmistakable expression. The outer material is 100% acrylic, with a filling of recycled polyester fibre. The pug (Canis lupus familiaris, breed Pug) is one of the oldest dog breeds in the world, originating in imperial China where it was kept as a lap dog by the nobility over 2,000 years ago. Standing 25 to 33 centimetres at the shoulder and weighing six to eight kilogrammes, it belongs to the small companion dog group. Its character is often described as cheerful, wilful and affectionate. Pugs are remarkably people-oriented and prefer to follow their owner everywhere. Their short, smooth coat comes in fawn, black, silver and apricot.
