Husky Hand Puppet - Hansa Creation

As part of imaginative play, the husky hand puppet by Hansa Creation can quickly take on its own role. It works well in puppet theatre, in story based play and in small role playing scenes. New ideas often emerge while playing.

The Siberian Husky was bred by the Chukchi people of north-eastern Siberia as a sled dog and can survive temperatures down to minus 60 degrees. It is enduring, capable of running 150 kilometres daily, and possesses a dense double coat. Huskies are sociable pack animals that rarely bark but howl extensively. Their blue or bi-coloured eyes (heterochromia) are a typical breed feature.

Did you know that a husky team carried life-saving serum over 1,085 kilometres to Nome, Alaska in 1925? In minus 40 degrees and blizzard conditions, the sled dogs transported diphtheria antitoxin in just five days — this "Great Race of Mercy" saved an entire town.
